Built to perform
The six axles electric locomotives axles are equipped with a 25 kV 50 Hz and 15 kV 16â…” Hz bi-sistem transformer powering six asynchronous engines. The locomotive can reach speeds of over 200 km/h.
The locomotive is TSI authorized for freight trains with max. speed of 120km/h.
Modern equipment
The locomotive is equipped with a new metallic structure, asynchronouse traction motors, regenerative breaking, IGBT electric converters, LED lights and electronic command and control equipment.
European standards
The most advanced electric locomotive built in eastern Europe, Transmontana is certified by both the Romanian Railway Authority and the Hungarian Railway Authority.
